The initial meeting of the Digital Genealogy SIG was on June 8. Don Duncan began with an explanation of how this group differs from the former Genealogy Computer Group.

He then introduced Warren and Marion Peterson who guided the attendees through a demonstration and discussion of the various scanners at the AFHS Library. The enthusiastic discussion indicated the presentation offered something for everyone in the group.

On September 14, the topic will be “Using GEDCOM and other methods to transfer data between programs and websites” led by Lorna Laughton and Diane Duncan.

On November 9, the meeting will feature Gordon Lane who will present and led a discussion on “Organizing and Working with Photos.”
