Mayflower 400 Commemorations

(Aug 29, 2020 Plymouth, England)

In September 1620, the Mayflower sailed from Plymouth, England with over 102 passengers and crew, 37 of the passengers were from the Separatist Leiden congregation (later known as the Pilgrims).  Check the names and places of origin of the passengers here:

Who did they leave behind? Are there any descendants of the Mayflower’s passengers that stayed in England or Leiden? If so, Maureen Selley, Secretary of the Devon FHS: secretary@devonfhs.org.uk (coordinator of “The families they left behind” project) would love to hear from you.

As part of the Mayflower 400 Commemorations, the Devon Family History Society is hosting a Mayflower International Genealogical Conference in Plymouth on Aug 29, 2020 and events are also taking place in: Gainsborough, Boston, Immingham, Southwark, Rotherhithe, Southampton, Dartmouth and Plymouth.
