Alberta Registries. These are the free-enterprise folks to see in Alberta for copies of: birth, death, or marriage records. Prices vary from agent to agent since the province has not capped (provided a maximum) fee for these records (e.g. the basic $20 fee, plus a $6.75 agency fee, and if needed a mailing/handling fee of $10.70 each or $37.45 to someone ordering by mail). There's a searchable site for registry offices. For those out of province, the process is different. They must (and Albertans may not) apply directly to the Vital Registry office. For details regarding what documents can be provided to whom, you may wish to visit the Alberta Vital Statistics Act online
