Alberta Family Histories Society and Genealogy 2.0

Alberta Family Histories Society

Welcome to our brand new Alberta Family Histories Society Blog!

We are excited to be joining many other genealogical societies who are practicing  “Genealogy 2.0″.

What is that you ask?

It is the interaction and engagement online with our members and readers.  That’s what it is!

You may have heard it more commonly called Web 2.0  and it includes social networking such as the use of blogs, Twitter, and Facebook.

In the genealogy online world this interaction is called Genealogy 2.0.

We will be highlighting events, research, our library holdings, volunteers and many other topics on the blog. See the related links below for 25 Great Topics for Genealogical Society Blogs.

The blog and other Genealogy 2.0 interaction will be a complement to the many wonderful resources, newsletters,  events and web pages currently offered by the Alberta Family Histories Society.

Stay tuned for more to come!  (and be sure to check out the links below)

I am happy to see this BLOG site as I cannot seem to reach anyone by telephone to ask my question.

As a 80th birthday present to their Mother a family would like to hire a professional Genealogist to complete the research of their grandfather, who was adopted in Boston Mass., and brought to Alberta in 1908.
Could you please advise me what the charges would be or a “ball park figure” as to what the cost might be.

  4. Alberta Family Histories Society says:

    Hi Adrene,
Thank you for your query. I’ve sent your message onto someone that might be able to help you.
