Remembering Olive Carlin

Olive CarlinThe Alberta Family Histories Society is saddened to learn of the death of dear friend and dedicated AFHS library volunteer Olive Carlin.

Linda Murray, a member of the AFHS board,  remembers Olive as a wonderful, warm and witty person who will be missed by many.

    Olive was especially helpful with Scottish research. In June, I mentioned my one and only Scottish ancestor. Within a few days, she had done some research for me and gave me the number of a microfilm to order from the Family History Library. I didn’t know her for long, but her kind, helpful nature will be remembered.
