Canadian Genealogical Projects Registry

Canadian Genealogical Projects RegistryThe Canadian Genealogical Projects Registry is an initiative of the Alberta Family Histories Society and has been in existence since the 1990s.  It is a free electronic resource for the genealogical community. It provides:

* Records of who has transcribed the headstones from a central cemetery
* A place to advertise the extraction/transcription project that various societies are working on.

AFHS helps eliminate duplication of work by providing a central place where small and large genealogy projects can be listed.  Canadian Genealogical Projects Registry is a place where you can find out which extraction and transcription projects are planned, underway, or have been completed.
