Returned soldiers search

Thanks to Nancy Caradonna for her numerous volunteer hours at extracting information pertaining to WWI returning soldiers from the 1918/1919 Calgary Herald newspapers.

The database includes information derived from local newspapers and cross-referenced with ships passenger lists.

The list isn't just for soldiers from Alberta returning to Alberta, some were in the Resistance. After discharge some of the soldiers were allowed to have one trip to a destination of their choice and many chose Canada.

Results may take a few moments to load as there are over 16,000 records.

Note: The search fields are not case sensitive and some search fields have the option of a blank value.
