Monthly program

Location: River Park Church,
3818 - 14A Street SW (map)
Next Meeting: Monday, Jan. 5,

7-9 p.m.
Speaker: TBD
Topic: Alberta Quilt Study Society

A representative of the Alberta Quilt Study Society will give a presentation on quilts and the history and technique of documentation.  She will also speak about her genealogical research on some local signature quilts from the WWI era.

This will be an interesting program as many of the techniques used to research these heirlooms can apply to documenting and preserving the stories of other heirlooms.

Thanks to all who donated

Many AFHS members who attended the last monthly meeting donated to the Veterans Food Bank. Your generous contributions totalled an impressive $822, which means many more meals will be available to veterans who need them. The people at The Canadian Legacy Project were very pleased to receive the envelope, indeed.

I think it is fitting that we made the donations delivery on "Giving Tuesday," too.
