New: AFHS Historic Calgary Week Presentation

Date/Time: Thursday, July 28, 10:00 - 11:30
Location: Room B (basement) of the Calgary Public Library, 616 - Macleod Trail SE, Calgary
Title: “Where Will All The Family Records Go? Succession-Proofing Your Family History”

We all have them somewhere in our homes: the boxes, papers, letters, photographs, heirlooms, family records and even genealogical information like family trees, and birth, marriage and death records and certificates. As we age, we wonder “where will all the family records go?” when we’re gone, especially if you’re the family historian and/or genealogist, and these records are part of your legacy.

Mr. Jim Benedict, Board member and Director with the Alberta Family Histories Society (AFHS), will speak on and demonstrate the preservation of this information forever through electronic means; the Family Genes Project.
