Volume XI: Queen’s Park Cemetery, Calgary Sections A - X

After producing seven CDs containing monument inscriptions, burial records and photographs from Queen’s Park Cemetery, Calgary, technology has allowed us to combine all the information from Queen’s Park Cemetery onto a DVD. This project began in 2002 by volunteers of the Alberta Family Histories Society and is now completed. Our first Queen’s Park CD contained information from Sections A-F, the second CD was our military one from Section P, the third was Sections G-J, the fourth was Sections K & L, the fifth was Sections M, N, O plus Storybook Garden, the sixth was Sections R, RC, V, W plus the Mausoleum followed by the seventh and final with Sections S, T and X.

This DVD will contain the transcriptions, photos and burial records for some 66,655 records. This completes the series on Queen’s Park Cemetery. Due to the difficulty of ensuring accuracy with translations, we will only be publishing the Chinese Section at our AFHS Library.

Price: $50.00

Volume XII: Burnsland Cemetery, Calgary Sections A-F, H-N and P

The Alberta Family Histories Society (AFHS) presents the second DVD in their Digital Library Collection. Although Burnsland Cemetery, Calgary had been transcribed earlier (1989-1993) and those records were included in our Digital Library Collection CD I, it was timely to update this cemetery and to also include photographs of the monuments as well. This project commenced in 2007 and was completed in 2010.

Unfortunately time and weather have not been kind to some of the earlier monuments; some are broken or unreadable and others have disappeared entirely, thus we have included the former recordings from the original database for the use of family researchers and interested parties. Volume XII of the AFHS Digital Library contains 18, 634 entries from Sections A,B,C, D, E, F, H, K, L, M, N & P of Burnsland Cemetery, Calgary. Each entry includes burial records, monument transcriptions and photographs (where available).

Price: $50.00

Volume XIII: Burnsland Cemetery, Calgary, Military and More

The Alberta Family Histories Society continues their Digital Library Collection with a second DVD entitled Burnsland Cemetery, Calgary Military and More. This second DVD for Burnsland Cemetery features the military sections G & T as well as military markers in other sections of Burnsland Cemetery. In an effort to recognize the commitment and dedication given by our military personnel in the 20th and 21st centuries, we have also included military graves from the following Calgary cemeteries: Burnsland, Queen’s Park, St. Mary’s, St. Mary’s Pioneer and Union for a total of 11,000 entries. Each entry includes burial records, monument transcriptions and photographs (where available). Other resource materials included are: numerous military abbreviations, military internet links, and other references pertaining to our Military such as the Peace Keepers Park.

This project began in the summers of 2008 & 2009 respectively and was completed in 2010.

Price: $50.00

Volume XIV: St. Mary's Cemetery & St. Mary's Pioneer Cemetery, Calgary

The Alberta Family Histories Society (AFHS) presents their fourth DVD St. Mary’s Cemetery & St. Mary’s Pioneer Cemetery, Calgary as part of the Digital Library Collection. This project was started in the summer of 2005 with the final proof reading in 2010 and the production of the DVD in 2012. Volume XIV contains 13, 557 entries from the twenty sections (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, O, P, R, S, T, V, W, & X) of St. Mary’s Cemetery Calgary. Also included on this DVD are the Eleven Sections (1-11) from St. Mary’s Pioneer Cemetery Calgary consisting of 2,391 entries for a grand total of 15, 948. Each entry includes monument inscriptions, burial records and photographs (where available) of this large and historic Catholic cemetery in Calgary Alberta.

Photographing and recording the markers in the Pioneer Section was made more difficult because of the lack of formal burial records, and the poor conditions of some of the older markers.

Price: $50.00
