Following the Document Trail Workshop 10:00 am to noon

Are you getting every bit of information from documents you find? Do you know where to look next? The research cycle includes finding a record with your ancestor on it, fully analyzing that record, and deciding where to search next. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn techniques to gather all the information from a document and tips on where to look for the next record.

Space is limited!

This is a hands-on workshop. Please bring your research and laptop or other device with you. (The AFHS library has a limited number of computers for use.) Tara Shymanski will begin with an informative talk. Participants will then have the opportunity to put their new knowledge to work with help from volunteers.

Payment can be made by cash or cheque at the workshop.
