Announcing AFHS Speakers Bureau
Alberta Family Histories Society is pleased to announce the introduction of our Speakers Bureau. This initiative provides a ledger of our skilled researchers who can provide quality presentations on a host of genealogical topics. In the attached document, we provide a head shot photo of each presenter, a short biographical summary and a list of their favorite presentations. These folks are available to present to your organization on a mutually agreed schedule. If you are located within a reasonable distance from Calgary, they may be able to attend in person. For farther away locations, the presentation may have to be via Zoom.
We currently have seven seasoned presenters with a broad collection of 42 different presentations. The topics range from “How To” sessions on powerful Irish records to family murder stories to cultural odysseys. Each presentation typically lasts about one hour with time for questions and answers. The presenters can provide a handout with reference connections, websites, etc.
Take a moment to browse through our catalogue of speakers and their presentations. Just click on the BIOS & TOPICS button to review our speakers’ backgrounds and topics.
