Research Assistance

“I’m looking for my ancestor’s obituary or burial information.”
“I would like to find out more about an ancestor who lived in or near Calgary.”
“Where can I find military information for a WWI soldier from southern Alberta?”

If you have similar queries, our Research Team is eager to find answers! Our volunteers can assist with family history research for the city of Calgary, the surrounding districts, and the western half of southern Alberta (Crowsnest Pass). Our focus is regional.

If queries are general in nature or you do not know the research area, the Research Team may suggest other societies or repositories to contact.

Before sending out requested information, a researcher will be in contact to tell you what amount to remit. Research results will follow shortly after payment is received.

  • Burial Information – $10 (Canadian $) for 1-3 people;
    $5 (Canadian $) for up to 3 additional people
  • Gravestone Photo -$5 each (Canadian $)
