Society Meetings

Throughout the past 25 or so years, I have enjoyed the monthly presentations! There are so many talented presenters in our midst, and every month brought some kernels of wisdom I could use in my own research.

Join us for an evening of genealogy learning and sharing at our Society meetings!

In non-COVID times, our meetings are held in the Events Centre room (upper level) at The Village, 4039 Brentwood Road NW, Calgary. It is located near the Brentwood LRT station, just northwest of the Brentwood Co-op store. Click here to view its location on Google Maps

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, our Society meetings are currently only being held by Zoom. Members will be sent an invitation on the Saturday before each meeting in a Windsock email message. We welcome visitors, so if you are not a member and would like an invitation, please email

We meet on the second Monday from January to June, with a summer break, then from September to December. Please note: Due to Thanksgiving, the October meeting is held on the first Monday of October.

At 7:00 pm, we begin with a brief business meeting. We always include a time to ask questions or “brag” about recent discoveries or projects. This is followed by a program of genealogical interest.

For upcoming monthly meeting dates and topics, see our calendar or events page.

Our Programs Committee is always looking for ideas. If you have a suggestion, please speak to us at a meeting or send it to

We meet at The Village: Brentwood’s Lifestyle Center (thevillagecalgary.ca), a multifaceted facility, hosting over 25 small businesses and organizations.
