We have been asked to share the following information about the upcoming Virtual British Institute being offered by the International Society for British Genealogy and Family History:
British Institute – International Society for British Genealogy and Family History
You have two options:
· Live Format – Attend five daily sessions in a “live” virtual format.
· Recordings Only – Access videos of the pre-recorded lessons and download the syllabus. Live format:
· Selecting this “live” option will give you access to the syllabus, pre-recorded lessons for each daily session, access to daily Q&A sessions with the instructor, an individual consultation with the instructor and recorded video of each daily Q&A session. The syllabus is yours to download and keep.
· Attendees will be directed to view specific pre-recorded lessons in preparation for each session on the following day. Access to these recordings will be available in mid-September BEFORE the sessions begin. You are strongly encouraged to view all the recordings before the Institute begins.
· Each day’s assignment will be to review the pre-recorded lessons for the next day and to prepare questions you may have for a “live” (Zoom) Q&A session. Each “live” Q&A session will be recorded, uploaded daily and available for review.
· An individual one-on-one consultation with the instructor will be available for each attendee. Time and date will be scheduled by the attendee and the instructor.
Recordings Only:
· Selecting this option will give you access to videos of the pre-recorded lessons and to download the syllabus after British Institute has concluded. The syllabus is yours to keep.
After British Institute has concluded:
· You may still register and gain access to course materials and recordings associated with either option until 31 December 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time).
