Are you just getting started? Have you been researching for a while and want a deeper understanding of some of the common topics in genealogy? This Basics Special Interest Group is for you!
We will meet approximately every other month on a Saturday morning by Zoom. The leaders (Bev Smith and Marion Peterson) are willing to choose future topics based on the needs and wants of the attendees.
On October 26, the topic will be Sources. What are the kinds of sources that we use in family history research? Why is it important to consider the source? What do you need to record? Marion Peterson give some tips to make sourcing part of your research routine. This will be an interactive session with lots of examples and some practice exercises.
