About the Speaker: Shelly McElroy is a local writer, speaker and historian who has worked with antiquarian bookshops, museums, and public and reference libraries. She was the 2022 Historian in Residence for the Calgary Public Library and Heritage Calgary. She is currently working on a biography of the Canadian Second World War ace William McKnight.
