The AFHS Society Meeting is our regular meeting for all members, usually held on the second Monday of each month from September to June. Guests are welcome to attend!

Topic: Our Genealogy Trip to England presented by Iris Morgan.

Join Iris Morgan and husband Scott on their Grand Tour of England. Their five-week trip to see Scott’s ancestral roots included archival research, several churches and graveyards, heritage sites and a week cruising on a canal in a narrowboat. Family history locations include East London, Isle of Man, Shropshire, Bedminster, Essex and Leicester.

About our presenter: While Iris is 95% Baltic, she has enjoyed working on her husband’s English family history. Research has also been part of her passion, having had a 33-year career at the University of Calgary Library involving cataloguing, law, maps and air photos. More recently, time served on the AFHS Board as a Director of Finance, as well as learning from other AFHS members has greatly enriched her retirement.

This meeting will be recorded, and the video will be placed on the Meeting Videos and Handouts page of our website a few days after the meeting.
